With an extensive background of over 15 years in fashion, Renee has a keen eye for creative detail when it comes to luxury jewelry. With an education in fashion, biology, digital marketing, and behavioral economics, her passion ranges from design and aesthetics to strategy and analytics. She's also an advocate for sustainability and ethical fashion and loves to paint and upcycle clothing in her free time. She has been on the team since Island by Koa Nani was first created.

Lawyer, aspiring pilot, and men’s jewelry enthusiast, Miguel has been with Island by Koa Nani since 2019 and is the original creator of the website. He studied political science, then went to law school, and passed the California bar on his first try in 2016. He then joined the US Army as a combat medic which brought him to Hawaii. Most recently, he furthered his education in web design and recently discovered his creative outlet through photography.

With over 12 years of experience in photography, videography, and graphic design, Andrew has been overseeing the Island by Koa Nani social media team’s work and giving guidance and creative input since 2022. He is a US Army veteran and studied nursing. When he’s not working on photos and videos, he likes to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

After finishing her studies in film at Rutgers, Caitlin joined Island by Koa Nani in 2022 originally as a photographer and later progressed to creating, directing, and editing commercials and videos for the social media team. She has a passion for travel and loves to capture beautiful scenery. Her close attention to detail makes her videos of the highest quality. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with friends.

Mawata joined the team in 2025 and quickly made an impact with her creativity and drive. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing, and started as a social media intern before growing into her current role as Marketing Communications Specialist. Mawata has a passion for short-form video content and brings excellent customer service skills to every project she works on.

After winning three titles in the Miss Hawaii USA 2024 pageant, Alex joined Island by Koa Nani as a social media intern. She excelled at modeling, content creation, and bringing her bubbly personality to the team. In fact, one of her reels gained over 100k views in just a couple short weeks. She is now the host of our limited live stream interview series.

Kiane began her journey with us as a high school social media intern in the summer of 2025, after first connecting with our team as a delegate in the Miss Hawai‘i’s Teen Pageant. Fluent in Hawaiian, Spanish, and English, she brings a multicultural voice to our brand and helps us connect with a broader audience. You may recognize her from our product photos, video reels, or live interview segments—she’s become an integral part of the team both behind the scenes and on camera.
