A rare stone found only in one place on earth, Larimar was rediscovered by Miguel Mendez in 1974 near the Bahoruco Mountain range in the Dominican Republic. Locals originally believed the stone came from the sea, though this is untrue as it is volcanic in origin. Mendez named the stone Larimar combining the name of his daughter, Larissa, and ‘mar’ meaning sea. I received my ring today. It is really cute but the pictures make it look bigger than what it really is. I will keep it because I like the turtles in the flower, but it really would look better on someone with smaller hands or young girl.

I LOVE this beautiful ring. It is prettier than I anticipated. I ordered a size 8 though I was unsure of my size. It’s a bit loose on my ring finger but fits nicely on my index finger. The plumeria is so lovely. Very nicely made. ❤️
